Cardboard Camp out and Clothing Collection
My wife and four of my children participated in an awareness project where they slept out under the stars on the front lawn, in a box, while the temperature dropped to the low 30's. This project brought to the front of their minds how fortunate we are to have the things we have. The following night before we sat down to dinner, we said our grace and each of the children said a special 'Thank You' to God for something they are thankful for.
Each of the four that slept out Friday night mentioned something like, "Please take care of those people that don't have a house", "Thank you God for our warm house", "Help those people find someplace warm to sleep tonight."
This very simple lesson, although I am sure time consuming on her behalf, was a great way for my children to realize how fortunate we are to have the things we do.
I really appreciate Mrs. Draper's commitment to teach the whole child.

Mrs. Draper was attentive, caring and concentrated on my daughter's individual needs! Speaking as a mom of a child with attention and focus issues, I can't say enough about what a positive influence Mrs. Draper has been. I see a real difference in my daughter's capacity to learn and stay on task. ~LuAnn
As parents we have complete confidence in Janelle as an educator and we so appreciate the nurturing environment she provides for our children. It's obvious that she loves what she does. She genuinely cares for each child.

Great event! (Walk for the Girls in support of The Breast Cancer 3Day) What a feeling of accomplishment when you are coming up the hill for the last time and you have strangers clapping for you. I would do this again because your words at the opening ceremonies told me why I was there. Thanks!! I was just walking in support, but what I realized is I was walking for my sister-in law and Lori from school and others. Thanks again!!
